Careful what you wish for!
Well last week I was so happy to see the snow and went about singing let it snow let it snow let it snow and Mother Nature sure listened. We got snow yesterday and today and expecting a huge storm tomorrow. I must say I do like this time of year and this weather. I feel very reflective and introspective as I contemplate the coming of the year ahead. Not only are we facing a new year but a new decade as well. I cannot believe it has been 10 years since I was the Y2K project manager, the project that officially launched my career in health care IT. Well tonight I'm going to stop on the way home and pick up some fixings to make a big pot of soup for tomorrow and then work on my Photoshop skills tonight. I downloaded some cool brushes and just can't wait to have 4 hours to sit down, light the fire (with the remote;) and start creating. I certainly however will have to literally rip myself away from Farmville to get it done. I Quiet night of contemplation and creation. My poem for a snowy day: Snowflakes glisten my world today, I stop and pause ...worry gives way. To a beautiful sheen that lights my soul and my way.

Well today is my birthday and I must say it is an awesome day! I don't know why but everything just seems to be working today. Normally I don't "self celebrate" my birthday but this year it just seems appropriate. I suppose the fact that I finished my masters last month and graduate in 16 days has something to do with it. I've finally got the time to get back to my crafting and cooking etc. I am just absolutely loving my 2x per week Yoga class and by gosh I nailed that darn crocodile pose last night 5 times! I felt on top of the world and have since. It even snowed today! First of the season and it is so very pretty. Right outside my office window are a few trees and the little white lights are on today and it makes a very pretty scene. Even though I have a meeting tonight I am very much enjoying this day.

Last night was the first full moon of December. We will also have one on the 31st as well. Since my birthday is just a day away I did a full reading last night. The cards revealed the coming of a lift in a period of struggles that my family has been facing over the last few months. I can feel the shift coming and I know I have the power to transform our situation. The reading reaffirmed that and focused strongly on the suits of Staves and Swords. Staves primarily focucs on creativity and knowledge and swords as I've come to interpret the reading represents my development, application and controls over the gift of creativity, femininity and knowledge. This to me equates to power and I realize it is within my reach. It is right infront of me all I have to do is channel it and use it. The final outcome was the major arcana of Transformation. It is the key theme for me this month and I invite the Spirits to show me wisdom as I journey through this life transformation. What a great way to start my birthday month! I am feeling aligned.

Back again! Cleaned off my Craft Bench and ready to get creative again. Had a whirl wind past few months and my creative gene is screaming to be fed. I'm still loving twitter and finally set up a facebook account, but now I need to get committed to staying current and loading my photo's etc. I'm doing allot of hunting around on the Internet to get inspired again. Think I'm going to try AJ again and perhaps some jewelry. I feel like I really need to get grounded again. In the last few months I have started a yoga class that I absolute love. It meets twice a week so my goal now is to do an asana every day and do a meditation every day. I'm going to strive to make this Christmas work with what I have and not buy anything new in terms of decorations etc. I've got a ton of stuff and I'm sure I can make it all work together. I don't need to buy anything else so there in lies my challenge. I feel a boost of creativity already. I'm not going to purchase any more art supplies either!!! Seriously!! I have more than enough to make a really fun holiday season and I'm sure the boys will love it either way. I just got a thought that I should really use this blog as my morning papers exercise. I really can move when I'm typing and the ideas just keep coming. We'll see - I'm not so sure about that yet. None the less feeling the inspiration and ready to get recommitted. I can't wait to see the new Mad Hattuer movie!!

Hello All - It's day 3 of my staycation. I am totally loving it. Today is a very lazy day. I just can't seem to get going! The week has been outstanding however. On Sunday, I bought myself some flower, laid out on my chaise in the back yard and started my staycation read: The Wildwater Walking Club by Claire Cook. It was awesome! I even made Pina Coladas! Whoot Whoot! I'm living on Twitter this week as well! Soo many tweets... consumes hours at a time! The week has been cold (in the 50's) so outside stuff has been difficult to fit in. On Monday I did a Library trip in the morning to get inspired and then worked on journal pages in the afternoon and into the evening. On tuesday I got up very early did morning pages, worked in my workshop, did a long bike ride and finished my read. The book was great and I'm passing it to a friend for her staycation next week. So today I just basically lounged around and kintted, watched the Divine Secretes of Ya Ya sisterhood and slept on and off. I'm going to get moving and go for a bike ride soon and to my son's Baseball game tonight. I just varnished a few of my AJ pages and some of the ink smeared. Yikes! I know which one as well! Going to get rid of that pad. It does look kinda cool however. Tomorrow is beach day ! I can't believe staycation is almost over. I could really get into this no work deal!!

Very Tired today didn't get much Sleep last night. STill exciting to be planning my staycation for next week. I'm going to do a spa day, long bikerides, beach day, and art camps at home. I am making my own summer camp. Our son has football and baseball and so we really can't go any where but thankfully he finally is driving this year so I won't spend my vacation sitting in the HighSchool parking lot waiting for him. Going to read Cliare Cooks Wildwater Walking Club, knit and really enjoy my summer camp staycation. Finding some great stuff on Twitter and having fun with Polka Dot Days journal. Polka Dots are like my Happy Pills! Three days until staycation starts!
